Lunch Club
Thursday 17th January 2008 saw the launch of the Newhaven Chamber of Commerce Lunch Club at the Newhaven Enterprise Centre. It was extremely well attended by 72 members of the Newhaven business community and local government representatives. Speakers included Rob Bennett (Director) of BBP Regeneration who have been commissioned to complete a physical development vision for Newhaven, Penny Shimmin from Newhaven Community Development Association and Tracey Evans from Newhaven Strategic Network. The event was kindly sponsored by the Newhaven Enterprise Centre, Denton Island, which provides 45 office and workshop units for new and developing businesses. A delicious buffet lunch was provided by Andy and her staff from the River Island Café in the Training and Business Centre.The Lunch Club will be held on the 3rd Thursday of each month in the Newhaven Enterprise Centre between 12.30pm and 2.00pm, with different themes and speakers each month. The purpose of the Lunch Club is to allow business to business networking, sharing of best practice and communication of ideas, as well as to raise the profile of the Chamber of Commerce.
